What's happening in Colchester County this weekend

Community volunteer income tax program
APRIL 5 – Truro library. Completion of income tax forms for low income people. 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Call 895-4183 for an appointment. Drop-ins welcome.
APRIL 5 – Holy Trinity Hall, Maitland. 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Choice of chowder or chili. Adults, $10; children, $5. Proceeds for the Parish of Maitland.
Maple syrup festival
APRIL 5 – Upper Stewiacke fire hall. 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Country cooking, live entertainment, pancakes and maple syrup, sausages, homemade beans, brown bread, dessert and beverage. Product sales, pantry table. Adults, $8; children 12 and younger, $4; preschoolers eat for free.
APRIL 5 – Salem United Church, River John. Potluck supper at 4 p.m. Silent auction and concert at 7 p.m. Free-will offering.
Running of the fools

Chase the ace
