TRURO – A new initiative will see two dozen youth put their art skills to the test early next month.
Youth Art Attack will take place at the Marigold Cultural Centre on May 3 in a similar, 20-minute format to the recent Art Battle.
The youth, however, won’t be battling one another but instead showcasing their skills. All the paintings will be sold in a silent auction, with proceeds going to the artist and the Marigold Arts Education Fund.
There are only 12 spots available for two age groups – ages seven to 12 (painting on a 12 by16 canvas), and ages 13 to 17 (painting on a 16 by 20 canvas) – so registration is a must.
Acrylic paint and the canvas will be provided in the event, with youth only having to bring tools and their imagination.
