TRURO - For the second day in a row, Mother Nature has granted students a day off school.

The Chignecto-Central Regional School Board issued its cancellation for all students within the board as snow continues to fall.

Along with the school board students, classes are cancelled at Ecole acadienne de Truro and the Nova Scotia Community College Truro campus.

Classes, however, at the Dalhousie Agricultural Campus are still on and the campus is urging its students and faculty to use caution when driving, according to its Twitter feed.

The snow is also causing some closures and cancellation of other organizations in Colchester County, including My World of Learning and the Debert Child Development Centre Pre-School.

With so many youth off school today, the snow is perfect for building snowmen and forts, and yes, even for snowball fights! Send your winter fun photos and cancellations to rtetanish@trurodaily.com

According to Environment Canada's snowfall warning issued just after 6 a.m., another 15 to 20 centimetres of snow is expected before the snow ends early in the morning in the west, or late this morning or early afternoon in Cape Breton.

Looking at the highway webcams throughout the county, roads are snow covered, and the RCMP have responded to at least two vehicles off the road. No injuries were reported.
