Nova Scotia boy found unconscious in woods after being reported missing

ALBERT BRIDGE - Cape Breton Regional Police say a missing 13-year-old boy has been found.

A call was received by police at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday to report the teenager missing from his residence near Country Lane Road in Albert Bridge.

The boy, who police say is known to them, was eventually found unconscious in the woods shortly before 10:30 p.m.

Media reports suggest he wasn’t properly dressed for winter.

A police K-9 unit and Cape Breton Search and Rescue assisted in finding the boy.

He has been sent to hospital for treatment.
