Mother Nature is making herself known in Colchester County and the province, with a blizzard warning issued for Jan. 22.
Environment Canada has issued a blizzard warning for most of the province for Wednesday, including all parts of Colchester County.
The warning notes blizzard conditions are expected to form over the southwestern part of the province early Wednesday morning before it spreads to the east.
Near-zero visibilties are expected to occur in these regions as an intensifying low pressure system develops and tracks northeastward passing near the Atlantic coast of the province.
Significant snowfall amounts are expected, along with strong winds and blowing snow. Snowfall amounts of 20 to 30 centimetres are expected, except eastern areas where snow will mix with ice pellets and possibly rain for Eastern Cape Breton.
