BIBLE HILL – Students at the Dalhousie Agricultural Campus will be walking out of class tomorrow to shine a spotlight on farming in Nova Scotia.

The campus is hosting its annual College Royal weekend, continuing the event’s long-standing tradition in the community.

Robert Beckwith, co-chairman of the event, said it is an opportunity for people to visit the university and learn about the local food chain.

“Most importantly would be the agricultural awareness of it,” he said. “It’s something we push down here, to get the general population to understand where their food comes from.”

On Friday, from 1 to 4:30 p.m., there will be several livestock demonstrations in the ruminant animal center such as showing cows, sheep and chickens.

Truro Daily News: Must you always use such pointless, and non-inclusive language. Co-Chair, Co-Chairperson, etc. Ridiculous. Please note that the other chair is indeed a woman. This is a persistent and aggravating component of your publication. Please work on this.
