TRURO – A public meeting on the future home of the Truro library will be held at the community’s fire hall later this month.
Truro town council agreed during its regular monthly meeting on Monday that a decision on the new location of the library will not be made until the public has a chance to weigh in on the matter. The meeting will take place Monday, Sept. 23 at the Truro fire hall, beginning at 7 p.m.
The time and location had not been confirmed during the meeting earlier this week.
A press release from the town on Tuesday says council will accept written opinions as well as hear from the public during the meeting.
Anyone wishing to submit a letter must provide it to the office of the CAO no later than Sept. 19 by 4:30 p.m. Letters can be dropped off at the civic building’s administration department, faxed to the CAO’s attention at 893-0501, emailed to email@example.com, or mailed to 695 Prince St., Truro, NS, B2N 1G5.
Any correspondence received will also be forwarded to members of the joint library facilities committee as well as both town and county councils.
