TRURO – The annual general meeting of the Forestry Professionals of Nova Scotia in Truro on Thursday will be a big meeting for two members.
Robert Bancroft and Dave Dwyer will be added to the Nova Scotia Forestry Hall of Fame during the meeting. These newest additions will bring the total number of inducted members since it began in 2004.
Bancroft’s nomination is a result of his effort to promote awareness of the interests shared by the users of the forests’ resources, both industrial and environmental. He currently resides in Pomquet, Antigonish County.
After retiring in 1984 from the Nova Scotia Department of Lands and Forests, Dwyer volunteers his time with CESO in various countries. Dwyer passed away in 2004.
