The minimum price for regular gasoline in the Truro area is now selling for $1.414 a litre, after being hiked by 2.7 cents overnight.

Diesel users will see some reprieve, however as that fuel slipped to $1.426 per litre, a decrease of 1.4 cents.

There is no way the price of gas is fair. I am all for fair competition but this is ridiculous. There is no public bus system, peopel have to drive ti get to work. It is time for this to stop. I hate oil and gas companies getting righ off the backs of working class.

I wish every person in north america that drives would just go one day without gassing up. That would really hurt the gas company's and prove a point that we are done paying these high prices. I hate the world we live in now a days!! The government does not want people to get a head!

Whether everyone wants to admit it or not, Truro is a town heavily dependent on its senior residents to pay the taxes, shop in the stores - and yes, that includes WalMart - and support enterprises like The Marigold. We are also the ones who more than we'd like to admit depend on pensions to keep us housed, clothed, and fed. The constant increase in fuel costs at the car gas pump and in our home heating systems - let's not even think about the pirates at NSP who are filling their pockets with the money we're expected to live on - has many of us wondering if we're making the right choice remaining here. A lot of people need to be reminded that one day, they're going to be seniors too. God help them survive if things keep going the way they are now!

Here in Winnipeg for my daughters hockey, gas is $1.16 a litre for regular. Do I think were paying a little too much in Nova Scotia ? Thats a difference of over $17 + on every full tank.
