Man and woman charged following drug search in Truro on Saturday

TRURO - A Truro man was arrested on drug trafficking charges following a search warrant executed Saturday at 26 McLellan St.

Alexander Emery Borden, 22, was arrested and subsequently remanded for a show cause hearing today in provincial court in Truro.

He is facing charges of trafficking in prescription pills, possession of marihuana and not abiding by a court order after a quantity of hydromorphone pills and marihuana were discovered during the police search.

An unidentified adult female was also arrested and released. She is to appear in provincial court in March on charges of trafficking in prescription pills and possessing marihuana.
