The home sustained fire, smoke and water damage as a result of the fire, which was reported around 12:30 a.m.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
The Canadian Red Cross assisted the family following the fire by setting up emergency shelter, and providing them with blankets and personal care kits. The assistance may continue once the family has been in touch with their insurance company.
