Paul Roderick Fowler is also facing a charge of assault, two charges of uttering death threats, and one charge each of carrying a weapon – a hammer – for the purpose of committing an offence, and careless storage of five rifles.

He’s alleged to have attacked Robin McConnell with a hammer on the morning of Dec. 31.

Fowler’s bail was granted on a $10,000 surety. He has a number of conditions to abide by, such as no contact with the two victims, staying out of Nine Mile River, and not having any contact with a list of motorcycle gangs.

Fowler is a former president of the Bacchus motorcycle club.

His next court appearance is Feb. 4 in Shubenacadie.
