Church celebrates milestone

BROOKFIELD - Brookfield Baptist Church is celebrating its 150th anniversary this weekend.

The church is hosting a special service on Sunday night, beginning at 7 p.m., in honour of the milestone. ‘Joy in Remembrance' has been the theme throughout the year and on Sunday night that theme will continue. The event will also feature Rev. Dr. Harry Gardner, president of Acadia Divinity College, as the guest speaker. A social time with refreshments will follow the service. The gathering is open to everyone.
