OTTAWA — Former Conservative senators Mike Duffy and Pamela Wallin will each face motions in the Senate that would see them suspended without pay, says a Conservative source familiar with the motions.

Senator Mike Duffy arrives on Parliament Hill earlier this year.

Duffy is at the centre of an ongoing Senate scandal involving improper housing expense claims, while Wallin has been under fire for disallowed travel expenses.

Duffy has asked for a medical leave under doctor’s orders after suffering a recent bout of unstable angina that resulted in a two-day hospital stay. – The Canadian Press
