Lennie Gallant to perform at the Marigold

TRURO - Well-known songwriter Lennie Gallant will take to the Marigold Cultural Centre stage next month.

The musician, originally from Prince Edward Island, will perform Nov. 15 beginning at 7:30 p.m.  Recognized by his peers as one of Canada's best performing songwriters, Gallant has released nine albums (seven in English and two in French), which have won him a host of awards and nominations from both the Juno Awards and East Coast Music Association.  His latest release, If We Had a Fire, picked up the award for Roots Recording of the Year from ECMA. His previous album, When We Get There was nominated for a JUNO Award and went into space aboard Space Shuttle Endeavour.    The past few months have seen Lennie Gallant performing several sold out shows with Symphony Nova Scotia, Ontario and western Canadian tours, several high profile fundraisers, and producing the new album for up and coming Prince Edward Island trad-fusion band, Ten Strings and A Goat Skin.   Tickets are $25 and are available by calling the Marigold at 897-4004 or online at Ticketpro.ca
