HALIFAX - The federal Green party will stage a climate change rally in Halifax later this week.
Party Leader Elizabeth May will be there Thursday as she makes her way to the UN Conference on Climate Change in Copenhagen.
May says the party wants to send a message that Canadians expect strong leadership on climate issues.
She says Prime Minister Stephen Harper should put forward a climate policy that reflects the views of a majority of Canadians, not just those of his minority government.
Rally participants are being invited to write letters outlining their climate concerns to Harper.
May says she will also deliver letters from the offices of the Nova Scotia premier and the opposition.
