TORONTO - Roughly one week after announcing their engagement on "The Bachelorette," the show's Canadian star and her fiance are denying rumours of infidelity.
US Weekly reports that "Bachelorette" finalist Ed Swiderski had a tryst with an ex-girlfriend eight days after proposing to Vancouver's Jillian Harris on the show, and romanced another woman a day later.
The women tell the magazine they want to warn Harris about Swiderski, a 29-year-old technology consultant from Chicago.
Swiderski has denied the allegations on "Good Morning America" while Harris insisted the couple are committed to their relationship.
"Ed is not deceiving me, Ed is not pulling the wool over my eyes," Harris said on the morning show.
The women allege that Swiderski had been dating both of them prior to filming "The Bachelorette" in late March, and dated him when he temporarily left the show claiming work obligations.
After evaluating 30 suitors, Harris accepted a proposal from Swiderski on a teary finale that was taped in May and aired July 27.
The 29-year-old interior designer told reporters after the broadcast that the couple planned to marry and were considering a wedding in British Columbia.
Harris could not immediately be reached for comment on Thursday.
