GREAT VILLAGE - A wayward bull was an unexpected sight for Michele Wilson on Saturday night.
As she stepped out onto her deck in Great Village, the 2,000 pound animal was standing in her yard, staring right at her.
"I thought it was my neighbours horse when I saw the feet from under the fence," said Wilson, who lives on Little Dyke Road. "I grabbed my camera and went outside. My husband (who had been outside at the time) said, 'don't you dare step off this deck'"
Wilson was able to snap a photo of the
animal she describes as close to 2,000
"He was only here for about five minutes. It was just after 7 p.m.," she said.
Wilson made sure to remain still until the bull was gone.
"For a second there, it just stared at me in the face and I thought, 'oh boy!"'
After the bull left, Wilson and her husband remembered a sharp turn on their road where the bull was headed.
"We jumped in the car and drove down the road to make sure no one came around the turn and hit the bull," she said. "We saw some kids who looked like they were trying to herd it back home."
At the time, Wilson was unsure of who the bull belonged to but the owner of the animal reports that it was back home safe and sound that night.
