Annual flea market

JUNE 27 and 28 – Peniel United Church, Five islands, Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. items include home baking, crafts, refreshments, games, toys, books, preserves, used clothing, dry goods and other items. The church will be open on June 26 at 9 a.m. for people wishing to drop things off. To have items picked up, call 902-254-2840.

JUNE 27 – Douglas Street Community Centre. 7:30 p.m. Shared lunch, door prize. Sponsored by the Y Senior Citizens Group. For ages 50 and older. Admission: $5. Last one until September.

Church supper

JUNE 28 – Malagash Community Hall, 4 to 6 p.m., casseroles, salads, homemade beans, brown bread, biscuits and pie. Cost is $12 for adults, children 12 and under $4, free for preschoolers. Proceeds for Malagash United Church.

 

Bake sale and Martial arts demo

JUNE 28 – Kajukenpo Trito fundraiser committee, the Mira, 1:30 p.m., raffle and 50/50. Proceeds to support student trip to U.S. tournament.

 

Barbecue

JUNE 28 – Fundraiser in support of the Colchester Food Bank, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., outside Sobeys on Robie Street. Hotdogs, $2; hamburgers and sausages, $3; water and pop, $1; rain or shine. All proceeds to the food bank.

 

Cribbage
