Bible Hill encourages residents to take the time to recognize those who take the time

2014 is now in full swing and it’s never to late to celebrate a special volunteer that makes a difference in so many people lives. The Village of Bible Hill will be hosting volunteer celebrations once again in 2014 to celebrate its many valued volunteers!  

If you would like to see a person or group recognized at this special ceremony, please contact the Village of Bible Hill at 893-8083 or email recreation@biblehill.ca for more information. Please take the time to recognize those who take the time. The deadline for nominations is Mar. 6.

Categories for the volunteer awards include:

Golden Long Term Service Award: The Golden Long Term Service Award is presented to those residents of Bible Hill who have made contributions through worldwide community volunteer service for a period of 50 years or longer, of which at least 25 years of the volunteer service took place in the Village of Bible Hill.

Long Term Service Award: The Long Term Service Award is presented to those residents of Bible Hill who have made contributions through worldwide community volunteer service for a period of 25 years or longer, of which at least 12 years of the volunteer service took place in the Village of Bible Hill.

Young Achievers Service Award: The Young Achievers Service Award is presented to young people (18 and under) who have made an outstanding contribution in volunteer community service in Bible Hill in the past year. There is no limit to the number of awards presented each year or the number of times a person may receive the award.

Outstanding Community Service Award: The Outstanding Community Service Award is presented to those who have made an outstanding contribution in volunteer community service in Bible Hill in the past year. There is no limit to the number of awards presented each year or the number of times a person may receive the award. 

To find a nomination form please check the Village of Bible Hill’s newly redesigned Website at www.biblehill.ca. There are many new feature that are part of the new Website, such as increased marketing opportunities for non-profit groups through our calendar of Events and booking of the adverting sign (located on Pictou Road in front of the fire hall) straight from the Website. Check the site regularly for new updates on activities, meetings and so much more.
