Canadian dollar opened at 96.63 cents US, down 0.13 of a cent

TORONTO - The Canadian dollar opened at 96.63, cents US, down 0.13 of a cent from Monday's close.
The U.S. dollar stood at 103.49 Cdn cents, up 0.14 of a cent.
Pound sterling was worth C$1.6725, up 0.75 of a cent and US$1.6161, up 0.51 of a cent.
The euro was worth C$1.5003, down 0.02 of a cent.
