TRURO - About 300 blueberry producers from across the province will meet in Truro today and Saturday to discuss issues facing their industry.
David Sangster, executive director of the Wild Blueberry Producers Association of Nova Scotia, said the annual event will include the association's business meeting, along with guest speakers discussing a wide range of topics, a full trade show and research reports.
"It's an opportunity to bring together the members of our association and agri-business to hear about the latest technology," said Sangster. Nova Scotia Agriculture Minister John MacDonell will officially open the two-day event this morning at the Best Western Glengarry Hotel and Convention Centre.

If they stopped spraying wild blueberries I might be tempted to eat them. They say wild blueberries fight cancer; well, pesticides and herbicides and fungicides cause cancer! If you can, BUY ORGANIC!
