Relocation grand opening of Basin Basics in Truro

Basin Basics celebrated its grand re-opening on Friday. Taking part in the festivities were, from left, Mike Emberly, president; Allan Elliott, Margie Grant and Steven Emberly, vice-president.  The business, which has six staff members, has been in Truro for 12 years and was previously located on Arthur Street, before moving to Juniper Street, in the former Blockbuster store, at the end of June. Store manager Jim Lawthers told the Truro Daily News business has been up an estimated 20 per cent since the relocation.  Photo by Debbie Brown

A stationary store in a flood zone. They would be wise to keep their stock two feet from the floor. I had gone to Basin Basics at their previous location several times in the past only to find that they didn't have what I needed in stock. I was told they could order it from the store in Halifax but I needed the items right away. So, I ended up going to another larger stationary store a few kms away to get what I needed. If they don't carry a wider range of stock at similar prices their competitor just a few kms away will still get most of the local business. At least in the new location there will be ample parking space.
