BERLIN - Bombardier Transportation (TSX:BBD.B) has received a maintenance contract from a German firm LNVG, for two locomotives and 34 double-deck coaches.
This order, on top of existing contracts between the companies, is worth around 19 million euros (US$26 million) and will run until 2022.
The LNVG fleet, to be maintained by Bombardier, will consist of 40 locomotives and 220 double-deck intermediate and driving coaches.
The fleet will operate on various routes in Lower Saxony.
"Bombardier Transportation has done a great job and its high levels of availability and reliability have contributed to passenger satisfaction," said LNVG spokesman Hans-Joachim Menn.
