The tour incorporates both music and motivational speaking in an effort to promote positive leadership for youth across Canada.
Since it’s inception in 2012, the Play It Forward tour has made stops in provinces and territories across the country. At each school Tenille gives a 60-minute presentation that uses music and story telling to spark interest, ignite change and fuel passion, while recognizing positive leadership efforts.
During the show, up to three pre-determined leaders will be called out of the student body who are then recognized for their actions. Each leader receives $75, which is to be played forward to their school however they see fit. These students are entered into a draw for a $10,000 prize package, half of which goes to a charity of the student’s choice, while the other half goes to their school.
Earlier this year, Tenille, a Grand Prairie, Alb. native, released her sophomore album ‘Light,’ which included the first single, Dear Heart. The follow-up single, Halfway To Somewhere, was released late summer.
