TRURO - An award-winning Canadian country musician is making a stop in Truro on Sunday as part of his NOW tour.

Paul Brandt will play at the Cobequid Educational Centre on Feb. 12. The Sunday night performance in CEC's audio-visual room will begin at 7:30 with High Valley opening the show.

Late last year, Brandt embarked on the first leg of his tour, which features music from his latest album, Give It Away, as well as fan favourites from all of his award-winning albums during the past 15 years.

The second leg of the tour began earlier this year in Eastern Canada with smaller, more intimate and acoustic performances. Next month, the tour will return in full force in Western Canada.

Brandt released his latest album late last year, four years after his Juno award-winning Risk. Give It Away showcases the musician exploring new musical and lyrical territory, while remaining true to the sound and voice fans have come to adore.

A diverse collection of songs, Give It Away explores passion, loss, humour and love.

Along with his latest album, Brandt has released his first-ever box set collection with the same title as his current tour.

The set features Brandt's albums, as well as a full-size colour book written and narrated by himself, as well as other material such as a retrospective DVD, the NOW book, additional previously unreleased material and a discount code for Just As I Am, an album set for release later this year.

Tickets for the show at CEC are $49.50 (plus surcharges) and are available at MacQuarries Pharmasave, as well as online by visiting www.paulbrandt.com and clicking on ‘tour.'
