Festivities were winding down at the Zatzman Sportsplex in Dartmouth, N.S.,  when Warren Hoegg snapped this beautiful photo.

It's was the culmination of a two-day Mawita'jik-"Let us gather" event in celebration of National Indigenous Peoples Day.  

The gathering showcased traditional dance, song and drums, pride and culture.
