Lightning is not easy to photograph so I was thrilled when this email came to my inbox. Not only did it contain a lovely photo of lightning, but a brief explanation on how to:
I thought I would share this shot of a lightning bolt. We have had a few great photo opportunities this summer to capture lightning. This shot was taken at 7:30 in the evening, so it was still light out. I added a neutral density filter to reduce the amount of light and kept the shutter open for 8 seconds... just waiting for something to happen within range.
The shot was taken from my balcony in Clayton Park West.
