TRURO: Classic fall storm set to strike

When it comes to making ice, it’s all about location. A low-pressure system moving up the Eastern Seaboard will soon be pushing up against a cold high-pressure system south of the Avalon. At this time of the year, cold air feeding into the top of a moist low-pressure system usually results in freezing rain. Warnings are in place. The warm side of the system will serve up as much as 30 mm of rain with wind gusts to 80 km/h overnight.
