FORT MCMURRAY, Alta. –The Truro Bearcats are set to begin play at the 2018 18U National Baseball Championships this week in Fort McMurray, Alta.

The Bearcats are among 10 teams vying for the title.

Truro opens the tournament today (Thursday) at 8:30 a.m. (Atlantic) when they take on Manitoba. Friday at 9 a.m. (AT) they face Alberta; and Saturday they have two games, one at 5 a.m. (AT) against Etobicoke of Ontario and another at 11:30 a.m. (AT) against the host Fort McMurray squad.

Crossover pool playoff games begin Saturday evening and continue Sunday, leading up to bronze and gold medal games at 12:30 p.m. (AT) and 3:30 p.m. (AT), respectively.
