TRURO, N.S. – Dave Ritcey has been named interim president of the Maritime Junior Hockey League.

The Truro man takes over from Brian Whitehead, who had his contract terminated last week after two-and-a-half years at the helm.

Ritcey brings a strong business and sports background to the table, coupled with more than 20 years of coaching, scouting and hockey administration experience. His most recent experience was as host chairmain of the World Junior A Challenge in Truro in December 2017. He has also served MHL vice-president.

The MHL will begin a search for a full-time president in the next few months.
