TRURO, N.S. – Truro swimmer Madison Bond has been recognized for her performance in the pool at the recent Eastern Canadian swimming championships.
Bond, 14, was named Cleve’s Source for Sports Female Individual Athlete of the Month for May after setting five provincial records and multiple personal-best times at the Eastern Canadian event.
The Athlete of the Month program is administered by Sport Nova Scotia, whose members are eligible to nominate athletes for the awards. A membership committee selects the award recipients for five possible categories: Male Individual Athlete, Female Individual Athlete, Male Team Athlete, Female Team Athlete and Team.
