TRURO, N.S. – Truro All-Star Cheer and Tumble kicked off its 25th season with a strong showing on the weekend.

The Hubtown club’s four entries all brought home podium finishes, which included a pair of division wins, from its first competition of the year at Tidal Blast in Moncton.

Truro Eclipse won the Senior 4.2 Division while Truro Heatwave topped the Youth 1 category. Truro Chill nabbed the runner-up spot in the Junior 2 Division and Truro Twisters were third in Junior 3.

The one-day competition, held at Universite de Moncton, saw 110 teams from clubs across Nova Scotia and New Brunswick battle it out over 42 divisions.

Truro’s teams are back in action Feb. 2 and 3 at Cheer Blast at Halifax Exhibition Centre.
