HALIFAX, N.S. – Truro Eclipse enjoyed a dominating weekend at the Cheer Blast Championships.

The cheerleading squad brought home three titles from the two-day event held at Halifax Exhibition Centre. The team, representing Truro All-Star Cheer and Tumble, finished atop the event’s Senior 4.2 Division and also laid claim to the 4.2 level championship. Level titles go to the team with the highest score at each skill level, regardless of age group.

Eclipse also brought home the award for the event’s best pyramid.

The Hubtown club also had three other entries in the event, which attracted 79 teams across 32 divisions from throughout Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.

The Truro Twisters were second in the Junior Level 3 Division while Truro Heatwave was runner-up in Youth 1. Truro Chill finished in third spot in Junior 2.

Truro’s teams will be back in action Feb. 23 and 24 when they host the Central Nova Cheer Challenge at RECC.
