Truro athletes enjoy success in the pool

TRURO, N.S. – Truro Centurions swimmers achieved great results in the pool at the recent Nova Tech swim meet at the Strait Area Education Recreation Centre in Port Hawkesbury.

Three members of the local team advanced to the next provincial time standard, including Paige Burry and Georgia Collins, who move on to the provincial junior standard, and Ava Nettleton to the Nova Tech gold standard.

Fourteen swimmers, from ages six to 12, earned an astonishing 35 best times across seven events.

The next meet is the Nova Tech Explosion, which will take place at the Rath Eastlink Community Centre on May 12-13. The Explosion is a province-wide meet that wraps up the Nova Tech year.
