TRURO, N.S. – Four Colchester County players will wear the blue and white for Nova Scotia at this week’s Gatorade Excellence Challenge in Broisbriand, Que.

Goalie Oliver Arnfast (Truro), defenceman Tanner Greatorex (Truro) and forwards Sam Archibald (Debert) and Merle Putnam (Masstown) will compete at the event April 25 to 28. Jacob Melanson, of Amherst, who played major bantam in Truro, is also a member of the team.

All for players are members of the Pictou County Weeks major midget squad.

The tournament will be scouted by all 18 Quebec Major Junior Hockey League teams.

Six teams will compete – Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, P.E.I., Newfoundland and Labrador, Quebec White and Quebec Blue.

Nova Scotia meets Newfoundland and Labrador on Thursday, April 25 at 2:30 p.m. Atlantic time.
