BROOKFIELD, N.S. – The Shooters Bar and Grill Fastpitch League will crown a champion this weekend.
The five-team league championship tournament will be played tonight, Sept. 12 to Saturday, Sept. 14 in Brookfield and Lantz.
The White Rock Rockies (2) will battle the Shubie Lions (3) tonight at Elk Park (it was originally scheduled for Lantz, but was moved to Brookfield). On Friday, the Prodigy Sports Red Sox (4) meet the Brookfield Elks (5) at Elk Park at 7 p.m.
The Halifax Pepperjacks, who finished first in the regular season, meet the winner of the Red Sox vs. Elks game on Friday at Elk Park at 9 p.m.
The Rockies are three-time reigning league champions.
