TRURO, N.S. – The Fundy Highland Selects bantam AA girls hockey team won two of three games in recent provincial AA league action.
The Selects swept a doubleheader from the Cape Breton Blizzard, winning 3-0 and 6-1.
Baillie Griffin, Erin MacNeil and Kenzie Greencorn scored in Game 1, while Ellie Clarke provided a pair of helpers and Bree MacPherson had one. Gabby Arsenault posted the shutout.
Game 2 saw Megan Smith score once and add two assists to lead the Selects. Olivia Fitt added a goal and assist to the attack, while single goals were scored by Emily Hart, Jaylen Langille, Willa Evans and Griffon. Maddie Beson and Sarah Fraser provided assists.
In a 2-1 loss to the Metro East Inferno, Greencorn scored the lone goal, assisted by Evans.
The Selects record now stands at 15-2-1 for the season.
