Presenting the 2019 Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame class

The   Nova Scotia Sport Hall of  Fame grew by seven at the induction ceremony on Friday night in Halifax. 

The 2019 Hall of Fame class included:

Justine Colley: The East Preston native was a basketball star at the Halifax Grammar School and Saint Mary's University, where she won four straight conference championships and was twice named Canadian Interuniversity Sport player of the year. 

Jody Shelley: The Yarmouth hockey player was an original member of the Halifax Mooseheads and went on to play 627 games in the NHL for the Columbus Blue Jackets, New York Rangers, San Jose Sharks and Philadelphia Flyers.

Suzanne Muir: Soccer star from Dartmouth was a five-time Atlantic conference all-star and two-time all-Canadian at Saint Mary's and later played for the national women's team from 1992-99.

Jackie Barrett: The weightlifter from Herring Cove won 20 gold medals at the Canadian Special Olympics and finished first 13 times at the world level. He owns three world records.

Henry Boutilier: He guided the Glace Bay Colonels to 19 Maritime Little League baseball championships during his 40 years as a coach and was the manager for five trips to the Little League World Series. 

Roger Caulfield: The basketball referee from Springhill officiated more than 1,000 games at levels ranging from the CIS championship to the world championships.

Morgan Williams: Cole Harbour rugby star represented Canada 58 times internationally and was national team captain several times.
