Truro’s Dylan Blenkhorn finishes fourth in latest race

TRURO, N.S. — Local stock car driver Dylan Blenkhorn finished fourth out of 22 at his latest race in Prince Edward Island Saturday.
Winning the Aug. 3 Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour race at Oyster Bed Speedway was islander Robbie MacEwan from Sherwood. Cornwall’s Dylan Gosbee and Enfield’s Shawn Turple came second and third respectively.
This was Blenkhorn’s eighth race of the season and he had made a strong start with early wins.
Two days later on Aug. 5, Lower Onslow’s Sam Rogers came second in the Maritime League of Legends tour, beaten by Shubenacadie’s Braden Langille. This race was also held in Oyster Bed.
The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour returns to action this Saturday, Aug. 10 at 5 p.m. for the 20th edition of the Toromont Cat 250, to be held at Scotia Speedway in Enfield. The next event of the Maritime League of Legends will also be part of the Cat 250 weekend.
People can also enjoy the Food Truck Rally and Antique and Super Cars Show and Shine today (Thursday) from 4 to 8 p.m. at Speedworld. 
The event will feature a meet and greet with some of the cars and stars of the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour, giving people an opportunity to mingle with their favourite drivers.
