Truro’s Eric Banks missed qualifying for this week’s RBC Canadian Open by two strokes.
Banks fired a 2-over 73 during Monday’s 18-hole qualifying round in Alberton, Ont.
Only the top four players earned their spots in the national championship, which begins Thursday at Hamilton Golf and Country Club.
James Allenby topped the qualifier with a 4-under 67. Thomas DeMarco and Etienne Brault tied for second at 1 under while J.C. Deacon shot an even-par 71 to grab the last spot.
Hammonds Plains’ Brad Curren carded a 4-over 75.
