TRURO, N.S. – Five Truro teams will compete for provincial honours this weekend on home ice at the Nova Scotia under-18 curling championships.
Truro Curling Club will host the four-day event, which gets underway March 8.
On the girls side, Truro teams skipped by Ally MacNutt and Sarah McDonah will compete among a field of 14 teams. In the boys draw, Truro teams skipped by Adam McEachern, Calan MacIsaac and David McCurdy will vie for the top prize against 12 other rinks.
The provincial winners will represent Nova Scotia at the national championship in Sherwood Park, Alta., next month.
The first draw is Friday at 4 p.m. with opening ceremonies set for 6:30 p.m.
