École acadienne de Truro cross-country runners turn in fine showings

YARMOUTH – École acadienne de Truro cross-country runners attended the NSSAF Provincial Championships this past Monday in Yarmouth after qualifying last week at Regionals in Amherst.

At the provincial championship, Eve Carreau finished 4th out of a field of 118 runners in the 3km junior girls category, while Eli Dykeman placed 33rd out of 101 runners in the 4km junior boys race. These were the top junior performances for Truro and the surrounding area. 

The École acadienne junior girls team, comprised of Eve Carreau, Mya Luddington, Madison Bond, Angeline Carreau, Rachelle Desgagné, and Abby Doucet, was eighth, its highest placing ever at the provincial championships.
