TRURO, N.S. – The Cobequid Cougars visit the Hants East Tigers in Northumberland region high school boys soccer action on Thursday, Oct. 4.

The Cougars are 6-0 this season, and a win would give the team home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.

CEC enters Thursday’s contest after a 2-0 win over the Dr. JH Gillis Royals on Tuesday. Gabriel Tremblay scored in the first half for CEC and Jonah Rathgeber added a second-half marker. Ethan Dahr posted the shutout.

In other recent action, the Cougars had a solid tournament at King’s Edgehill, playing against many of the top teams in the province. CEC lost 1-0 to eventual tournament champion Sir John A Macdonald and lost 2-1 in a shootout to King’s Edgehill. The Truro-based team defeated Yarmouth handily and downed Parkview 3-0 in a crossover.
