CEC boys soccer team clinches first place

TRURO, N.S. – The Cobequid Cougars have clinched the top seed in the NSSAF Northumberland region boys soccer league.

The Cougars hammered the Hants East Tigers 9-0 last Thursday to seal first place in the regular season. CEC hosts North Nova on Oct. 11.

Next Tuesday, the Cougars play a regional semifinal game against either North Nova or Northumberland. If the Cougars win, they will host the regional final on Oct. 18.
