NEW GLASGOW, N.S. – It was a winning weekend for the Northern Subway Selects of the Nova Scotia Female Midget Hockey League.

The Selects skated to a pair of home-ice victories over the Fundy Nationals by scores of 9-1 and 7-4.

In the first game, Landyn Pitts led the way with a hat trick, while Alyssa Fitt added a pair of goals and KJ Emery, Lindsey Smith, Natalie MacKay and Ashley Lvingston had singles.

In the second contest, Ella MacLean notched four goals for the winners, while Mariah Linehan added a pair and while Pitts tallied a single.

The Selects continue to hang on to first place and will return to action this weekend when they take on the Bussy Auto Penguins at home on Saturday at the Pictou County Wellness Center. They travel to Bedford on Sunday to face the second-place Station Six Fire for the first time this season.
