BROOKFIELD, N.S. – A new season in the Shooters Bar and Grill Fastpitch League gets underway Thursday, June 6.
The Colchester Royals and Brookfield Elks meet at Elk Park, while the Shubie Lions and Headline Red Sox play in Lantz. Meanwhile, in St. Croix, Hants County, the Halifax Pepperjacks square off against the Whiterock Rockies. All matchups are doubleheaders with 7 p.m. start times.
The league played its opening kickoff tournament last weekend in Brookfield and Lantz, as players shook off the winter rust. All six teams took part.
The Pepperjacks edged the Lions 3-1 in the final.
