TRURO, N.S. – Dave Mitchell and Karen Hennigar successfully defended their Cobequid Lawn Bowls Club men’s and women’s singles titles.
Mitchell took top honours on the men’s side by defeating Keith Cheyne in the final, while Hennigar was the women’s winner after defeating Marlene Sears in the championship match.
Mitchell beat Bill Wesley in one semifinal, while Cheyne outlasted Ray Shillington in the other. Hennigar won a semifinal over Sandi Messer and Sears defeated Pat Hanham.
Six women and eight men competed in the club championship this season.
