TRURO, N.S. – A successful two-game set for the Truro Bearcats included home-ice wins over the Pro Hockey Life Harbour Storm and The Gulls in recent Nova Scotia Major Bantam Hockey League action.

In a 3-1 win over the Storm, Aidan McBurnie, Kieran Sears and Matthew Vohra scored for the Bearcats and Drew Williams had two assists. Lisa Mombourquette stopped 16 shots for the win between the pipes.

In a 5-2 triumph over The Gulls, Sears netted two goals, while Aiden Tucker had a goal and an assist and Josh Chisholm and Camden Weatherbee also scored. Eli James made 21 saves.

The Bearcats next action is Oct. 26 in Halifax against the ACCEL Hawks. On Oct. 27, Truro visits the Wear Well Bombers of Pictou County.
