TRURO, N.S. – A clutch string of birdies near the end of their round propelled the Truro Panthers to a Nova Scotia School Athletic Federation Northumberland region junior boys golf title.
The Truro foursome, consisting of Zach Gaudet, Ryan Tam, Max Greatorex and Quinn Hayden, birdied holes 14 through 17, on their way to an 8-under-par 62 at the event played at Mountain Golf and Country Club on Oct. 2.
The Panthers finished two strokes ahead of Dr. W.A. MacLeod of Stellarton and South Colchester Academy of Brookfield.
